Tournament deleted.

Why the tournament 114 has been deleted (I has another tournament that have been deleted)?I hope to receive an answer.

I'm not sure what's the problem but if i remember correctly admin said that he will delite all tournaments with low number of managers and then create a new leagues.

deletes tournaments without notifications ?

Another tournament has been gone (deleted),Tournament 104.But the funny is that World Clubs 024 is inactive (for more than 1 year) and it was not deleted.

After a long absence I thought I'd give Simsoc another go, but after three games, my team, and info on the above league has also disappeared.

Hallo Bob, welcome back, game was totally broken around xmas time but admin seems to be repairing things...quite a few of the leagues i was in were zapped, i assume it was because of low population..it was mentioned way back in 2013 sometime, but it probly takes a fair bit of work and i`m sure admin has other things to occupy his time....

good luck with your teams and i`ll catch up with you in leagues that work hopefully,, ones with over 50% should be safe but don`t count on it..oooroooo for the noo

Another of my tournaments ha been deleted (Tournament 104).I remained in only 3 tournaments one of them Tournament 024 is stopped.Pratically I remained in 1 Tournament Tournament 016 and the Simsoc Masters.Someone can tell me what tournament/s can I join ?

You should join in leagues that have many managers ( 001, 002, 005,020 ) etc.

But I wonder can admin just delete some devisions instead of full Tournaments ? Because I see in some Tournaments that none is managing teams in that devisions ( especially in Globals - Asia 2 and Aerica 2 and in Espana Tournament - Segunda Division B and Tercera Division ). And it would be good if he tell us which tournament will be deleted.

Here is the population in the leagues in which i play :

Masters - 96/96 ( 100 %)
001 English Classic- 91/92 (98.9130434783 %)
020 World Cup 2006- 24/32 ( 75 %)
032 World Clubs- 32/64 ( 50 %)

It is strange that in the select tournament I don't have 032 World Clubs but I have 026 English,033 USA (there is no tournaments between these 2).

I see a lot of tournaments are going and a lot of errors in others. Perhaps best thing for John (admin) to consider would be keeping a small amount of competitions and starting another 10 fresh ones that are up to date. I can imagine this would take time. Good point with the other league's in Global though, with the points systems being different, most managers go to Europe. I'd just have the worlds best clubs in 4 divisions.

I think new league's would fill very quickly providing current users were made aware what league's will be finishing (ideally at their end of the season), otherwise I can see people leaving the game.

New Leagues (I'd only create 1 of each of these so users don't spread out)
English Leagues (4 divisions, perhaps even conference, 5th division) - I think this would attract big interest and plenty of room with the additional league
Italian Leagues (2 divisions)
Scottish Leagues (4 divisions)
French Leagues (2 divisions)
Spanish Leagues (2 divisions)
USA Leagues (2 divisions, Major Soccer League, NASL Premier)
Brazil Leagues (2 divisions)
German Leagues (2 divisions)
World Clubs (4 divisions of worlds best clubs, 16 teams per league)
World Cup 2014

Just an idea anyway because the game really needs updating. Bring the whole game down to about 20 tournaments so there is less places to go.

I agree with David. For now all tournaments who have under 70% managers you be deleted and just keep this with a lot of managers ( 001, 002, 005 etc ) and then create a new tournaments .

Leagues do need to be zapped I agree, ...I asked Admin what was happening either early this year or late last year and suggested a somewhat radical proposal which he never replied to... it was along the lines of "declare Mr. Grayburn the overall winner of simsoc version 1, and totally restart the whole game, call it the return of simsoc or simsoc versus Archies,, no matter... hopefully there is a template of the original game somewhere? how about you guys.... opinions?

Clearly dominated. This is an achievement that is very hard to reach.

It's showing that I never played Archie Grayburn because the only tournament in which I've played against him (008 English) got deleted shortly after the site came back online. My record against him in that tournament was okay though, couple of wins and draws. It's insane the way that guy just dominates everything though.

EDIT: Also, nice to see a cool new forum! I thought the old one was looking rather out-of-date so this is a nice change.

109 Netherlands has disappeared on the tournaments page but I can still log in with my final league game tomorrow - I hope it doesn't disappear

I've lost Dutch and Portuguese league's and others.. shame. I had a good history in some of them..

I don't see much point in all the world cups. I hope they remove some of them and add some better league's.

They deleted Portuguese league the other day - mid season.

Frustrating.

I've quit most of the league's I'm in now. Down to 6 teams.. Pointless having loads and not knowing which tournaments are getting removed so eventually going to cut down to 3 teams and wait see what happens with this game but seems like it's dying to me. Shame.

well the person winning the league at the time should be given credit for it and the season should be stopped at its end not midway

Nothing anybody can do as the people who run it appear to be long gone. Tournaments deleted themselves and come back randomly too.

World Clubs 186 is in peril now too. Has lost all of it's current seasons records, everyone is back to 0 points and looks like we re-start the season midway through. Bizarre.

I sincerely hope that the site will one day be taken over by someone who can breathe a new lease of life into it... I'm gonna keep playing until the very last server goes down, though. Especially since I've suddenly shot up into the top 100 and finally have a shot at the Masters Tournament (I've been playing this for about a decade, would you believe?)
